The geomancy (also called astrolical geomancy) explained here is about interpreting the placement of markings in accordance to patterns called geomantic figures. The way to make those markings can be by simply trowing stones or randomly making holes on the ground or in a piece of paper. Other ways to create the figures can be by flipping a coin, cast a die or dice, or draw cards from a deck.
The difficulty of this method lies in the capacity to interpret the patterns and also, the capacity to learn and understand the geomantic figures. The person asking the question is called the Querent and the thing or person the querent is asking about is called the Quesited.
